Architectural REQUESTS (ARC)
What is an ARC?
An ARC is a request to make certain changes to you property to ensure that the standards of the community are upheld (as outlined in the restrictive covenants) to ensure maximum enjoyment and property values for the residents of Chanan Estates.
The following types of architectural work require an ARC submittal without a fee
- Roof replacement
- Painting (if of same color)
- Driveway replacement (because of cracks or damage)
The following types of architectural work require an ARC submittal and a $100 application fee.
- Fences
- Landscaping (changing the look and or appearance of landscaping)
- Driveway replacement, expansion or updated with pavers or colors
- Pools
- Pergolas
- Painting (other than the original color)
- Changes to the exterior appearance of the home
- Home additions
- Pool Enclosures
- Wells (for irrigation)
- New Construction
The following types of architectural work DO NOT require an ARC submittal or an application fee
- Seasonal landscaping such as replacing mulch (no pine straw per CCRs) or replacing flowers with similar kind and size
- Removal of dead or rotting trees that pose a threat to property
- Solar panels
